Skipsea Village Hall is a registered charity number 1090223.Â
Its purpose is to provide a "Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of Skipsea and neighbourhood without distinction of sex or political, religious or other opinions and in particular for use for meetings, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants."
The Management Committee is made up of five trustees who are elected at an open annual general meeting each year, plus representatives from the Parish Council, Parochial Church Council and Primary School. The Hall is used on an almost daily basis for a variety of activities including weekly yoga classes, toddler group (in term time) and monthly line dancing class, gardening club and parish council meetings, brunch, warm space in winter, open space, coffee, cake and chatter sessions and table top sales. It is also hired out for craft fairs, weddings, parties and business meetings.
